The Position

Bluestone Financial Advisors is looking for an exceptional analyst to be part of our Personal CFO for Entrepreneurs team. We are different. Our advice-driven, fixed fee approach is unique amongst advisory firms that serve the entrepreneur and business owner family market.  We are all about collaboration, empathy, problem solving, and joy.

Of course, financial experience is necessary, but we especially appreciate that a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences can contribute to superior team performance and client success.  Curiosity, openness to new ideas, and an ability to learn quickly are valued more than the typical advisory or investment firm.

The Nuts and Bolts


Client Activity

Interact with clients to gather relevant data, share recommendations, and develop client rapport

Oversee client workflow and manage timelines for client deliverables

Analyze various assets and risks and how those assets and risks relate to each other;  develop customized strategies based on specific client needs;  identify third party resources (when relevant) to address client needs

Identify ways to improve client experience

Financial Planning

Review and analyze investments, insurance, cash management, retirement plans, tax, estate planning, business entity structures, asset protection, and real estate

Create financial models and cash flow projections

Reporting System

Manage client data

Generate reports

Manage client access and conduct reporting system demonstrations for clients

Custodian Platform(s)

Manage client access as necessary

Liaise with custodian support teams

Third Party Resource Management

Develop and manage relationships with third party organizations and professionals relevant to entrepreneurs


Ability to analyze and understand a variety of financial instruments individually and collectively

Ability to interact and communicate with entrepreneurs and senior business executives in written and verbal form; challenge assumptions and ask questions where appropriate

Working knowledge of Excel and ability to create financial models

Sound understanding of finance gained via undergraduate coursework, graduate coursework or relevant professional designations (e.g. CPA; CFA; CFP)

Currently a registered Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) or willing to obtain IAR registration upon employment by Bluestone

Desire to play an important role in growing a small business, but with the emotional maturity to manage through associated challenges

Emotional orientation that is curious and seeks to understand the drivers of client and colleague behavior

Not afraid to question and challenge colleagues and clients in the right way
